REGISTERED TARGETS
 
  
If you are a member of the ATA and wish to shoot registered targets you may do so on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month.
 
 
BIG-50
 
  
This event is open to ATA shooters AND non-ATA shooters. If you belong to the ATA you can register these targets but do not have to. You must declare your intention to register targets BEFORE you begin to shoot. The cost of the event is $20.00 for non-registered targets and $23.50 if you want to register. Prizes will be awarded by the drawing of door prize tickets.
 
 
DOUBLES INSTRUCTION
 
  
Doubles Instruction with Bruce Maxwell. This is a FREE to members clinic on shooting doubles. This clinic is geared towards shooters new to doubles. Bruce will cover all the basics such as foot position, which bird to go for first from each station and techniques for getting that second bird. Members pay $10 when they arrive at the club to cover the cost of the birds. This is open to 15 shooters and 15 shooters ONLY. Sign up is on a first come - fist served basis. He or she who hesitates is lost.

5-STAND
 
  
5-STAND is becoming increasingly popular and you can now shoot it right here at North Jersey Clay Target Club. The price is $10 per round of 25 targets for everyone, members and non-members.
 
 
WOBBLES TOURNAMENT
 
  
Pretty self explanatory. We will shoot 100 Wobble targets. Prizes will be awarded by the drawing of door prize tickets.
 
 
Half 'N Half
 
  
This is an event we came up with for those who like to shoot Singles and Handicap but don't have all day to do 100 of each. In Half 'N Half you will shoot:
          ⇒  50 16-Yard Singles targets
          ⇒  50 Handicap targets (see note below on shooting Handicap)
 

STARS & STRIPES SHOOT
 This is a one day club event (Sunday June 23, 2019). Prizes for Champion and Runner Up as well as Class Winners & Runner Up in AA, A, B, C and D. This is a 200 target event. Entries open at 9:00 AM and close at 11:30. Fee is $25 per 100 targets. Lunch is available.
 
Ed Yanchok Memorial Shoot
 
  
This is a special club event to honor the memory of our friend, Ed Yanchok. Ed was a friend to all trap shooters and had a wealth of information on the sport and how to shoot which he shared freely. This event will feature 50 singles targets and 50 handicap targets.
 

 
 
SPECIAL NOTES FOR ALL EVENTS
  • All dates are subject to change.
  • In the event of inclement weather call the club for update

 
SPECIAL NOTES FOR NON-ATA HANDICAP EVENTS
  • Handicap events will group shooters by their AVERAGED handicaps
  • The average will be rounded UP to the next whole number. For example: 22.3 becomes 23

  • Here is an example of how grouping works. If there are 9 shooters and their Handicaps are; 19, 21, 21.5, 22, 23, 24.5, 26, 27 and 27 they will be split into TWO GROUPS
          Group ONE is 5 shooters whose average is 21.3
            They will ALL shoot from the 22 yard line.
     
          Group TWO is 4 shooters and whose average is 26.1
            They will ALL shoot from the 27 yard line.

  HOW THE DOOR PRIZES WORK
  • To level the playing field all prizes will be awarded as door prizes
  • When you sign up for an event you will be given a door prize ticket
  • After the last shooter has completed his/her last round winning ticket(s) will be drawn
  • The number of winning tickets is dependent on the number of shooters
         1-10 shooters ONE ticket will be drawn
         11-20 shooters TWO tickets will be drawn
         More than 20 shooters THREE tickets will be drawn
  • For most events the prizes will be flats of shells but this is subject to change
